Centrifuge Pre-filter Systems



Retrofit existing XYBEX Systems with a pre-filter that will remove particulates before the centrifuge, thus extending the processing time between manually cleaning the centrifuge bowl.

Complete packages are provided with a choice of bag or cartridge filter, interconnecting hoses, pressure regulators and gauges, and flow control valve; all mounted on a common base that sits next to your XYBEX System.

Filter systems can also be designed for specific applications or for installing on individual machine tools.


Drum Top Sump Cleaner™


The Drum Top Sump Cleaner™ is a vacuum unit that converts an existing open-top drum into a powerful machine tool sump cleaner. The drum top is an economical alternative to a dedicated sump cleaner.

    Combo YBSS and Centrifuge!


    Portable XYBEX systems are available in single and double compartment configurations. In the single-compartment system, the Yellow Bellied Sump Sucker pumps dirty coolant, chips, and fines from the machine tool sump and through a filter removing the solids. With the solids removed, the fluid is returned to the sump and the machine tool resumes production. Then, filtered fluid can be centrifuged to remove tramp oils in a side stream operation while the machine tool is operating.

    With the new, double compartment portable XYBEX system, machine sumps are emptied and vacuumed into one side of the system. Clean replacement fluid, available from the clean product storage compartment of the system, is used to refill the machine immediately and return it to production. As soon as the machine tool is back on-line, the centrifuge can be started, transferring the retained fluid from the dirty product side to the clean side. As the fluid passes through the centrifuge; solids, tramp oils, and other extraneous oils are removed from the metalworking fluid, leaving only clean, oil-free, recycled coolant on the clean side of the machine. The portable XYBEX system then can be wheeled to the next machine tool for tank side fluid recycling.

    The Waste Whacker� employs technology that has been successfully used in the waste treatment industry for decades. Ozone has often been used in water treatment and to remove dyes from textile wash waters. Flocculant has been used to effectively encapsulate solids, oils, and trace metals rendering them inert and safe for landfill disposal. Never before have they been used together in the same system � until now. The Waste Whacker Ozone and Floc System uses this synergistic coupling of technologies as a combination pretreatment, ozonation, and flocculation mechanism. The result is a low-cost, onsite waste treatment system that yields totally encapsulated solids, oils, and trace metals that can then usually be disposed of in the plant trash bins as unregulated solid waste. The water phase is usually so clear and contaminant free that it can normally be disposed of in the sanitary sewer drain.

    PRETREATMENT HELPS REDUCE WASTE TREATMENT COSTS

    In many cases, the waste stream to be treated is heavily polluted with oils, solids, and dissolved metals. In such cases, you save money by pretreating the fluid being processed. Adding an Ozone Clarifier or Ozone Coalescer prior to the Waste Whacker� Ozone and Floc Waste Treatment System helps to stabilize the waste stream making it much easier to treat. It also assures a more thorough and consistent treatment protocol. Best of all, this process reduces the amount of flocculant needed for waste treatment.


    XYBEX® Custom Systems


    XYBEXCustom Systems, a spin-off of the 1000 system, is a complete, full capacity single product coolant recycling system. The system usually shares the same operation and layout as the 1000. However, tank capacities and the centrifuge are altered to meet customer's needs.

    XYBEX® Membrane Microfiltration Recycling System


    The Portable Membrane Microfiltration Recycling System uses patented technology to remove solids as fine as 0.1 micron, and other contaminants such as emulsified oils from process fluids without the use of additional processing tanks to purify the solution off line. The unique Twin-Channel Microfilter� pulls fluid into the equipment automatically. The patented controlling device then provides automatic purification of the process fluid while periodically providing a self-cleaning cycle. The durable membranes can be easily cleaned to restore nearly "first day performance" throughout the entire lifetime of the microfilter.
